Lately, I’ve been very into ’90s styles and trends. From tube tops to denim on denim, you could say that I’ve been a little more than obsessed. Because I was just a kid when these ~iconic~ styles first came out, I couldn’t exactly take part in them (besides my mom dressing me in denim overalls and tying my hair back with colorful scrunchies). But now all of the old trends are making a rather stylish comeback, and lemme just tell you–I’m 100% all for it (after all, what goes around tends to come around right?!)
After years upon years of relentlessly squeezing into skinny jeans, I couldn’t have been more on board to support the flare jean trend. Bell bottoms are super super flattering and way more comfortable than the alternative style picks of our generation. It also must be noted that I absolutely LOVE a good high-waisted pant. High-waisted jeans have a rather amazing way of making your legs look longer and all around better. The high-waisted flare jeans that I have styled are my current favs and are from Anthropologie. Besides their trendy high-waist and wide-legged bottom, these jeans are super unique because they have a very chic tie waist. I absolutely adore these jeans!!
I went on to style these jeans with a trendy tucked-in white off the shoulder top. Because my jeans were the focus of my look, I wanted to keep it rather simple with my top! To incorporate more ’90s trends into my outfit, I accessorized with mini gold hoops (not pictured–oops!) and a super cute layered choker from Anthropologie. Finally, since my jeans were longer than my legs, I gave myself some height with some ~very ’90s~ platform sandals!
I hope that you guys liked this lil ootd post!! I will definitely be doing more of these in the near future so make sure you subscribe to keep in the know 🙂
