  • Gingham-Tie Tops

Call it love, call it an obsession, but I am absolutely crazy about gingham–shocker, I know. Gingham is one of the biggest trends of the season. It is absolutely perfect for fall and can be found on dresses, tops, etc. As many of you can probably tell by now, I have several gingham pieces; however, one of my current favs is my plunging V-neck cropped tie-top from LF in Boston. I ~adore~ this top. It is definitely an extremely unique piece.  Lately, I’ve been very into cropped tie-tops as they are very in style atm., so when I spotted this gingham tie-top, I was instantly sold!!

How to style: Because this top is such a statement piece, I went about styling it with neutral, solid colored pieces. In doing this, I brought focus to the top, which was my intention as it was the highlight of my look. The top is cropped and very exposing so I paired it with some classic high-waisted black jeans. These jeans are an old favorite from American Eagle and are a such an essential piece.  I’ve been loving the colors taupe and beige recently for the fall season and think that they pair beautifully with black. Because of this, and to bring an element of height into my look, I decided to wear my suede block heeled booties from Sole Society (similar here and here). I am in love with these shoes. They are the perfect bootie for fall! Going off of this, suede is obviously a fall classic, so to pair with my booties, I accessorized with my favorite cross body bag from Banana Republic. I love accessorizing with statement jewelry. Jewelry can bring so much to a look and can really be the completing element. To further highlight the black gingham, I accessorized with my new favorite black pom-pom earrings from Zara. These earrings are so unique and different; however they have a way of totally tying the entire look together.

It also must be noted that these pictures were taken by my ~incredibly~ talented friend Matt Mitera here in Florence! He is one of the most skilled photographers I have ever met, and his work constantly blows me away so be sure to check out his instagram: here, and give him a follow ๐Ÿ™‚

    Until next time…
