Bonjour! While I was abroad last semester I had the incredible opportunity to visit quite possibly my new favorite place in the entire world–Paris!!! Getting the chance to visit Paris has definitely been a dream of mine ever since I was a little girl, and I feel ecstatic beyond words that I actually got the chance to live out this dream. Paris is simply magical. I was utterly blown away when simply walking down the dream-like streets. For the entire duration of my stay I felt as though I was in a movie–in fact, my bff and I watched parts of Midnight in Paris every night before bed lol. We were only in Paris for a short three full days; however, we definitely made the most of our time there and did everything that I could’ve ever dreamed of doing! Paris was by far my favorite trip to plan outfits for. I am ~obsessed~ with the Parisian style. There is something so incredibly chic in the way that Parisians dress and hold themselves in general. Prior to embarking on this trip of a lifetime, I journeyed to my local Zara in Florence and picked out some trendy pieces I thought fitting for my three Paris looks!! Because I have SO many pictures from my Paris trip, I decided to write three separate style posts in accordance to each day so be on the lookout for my next two posts!!!
Look #1: Chic Blazer + PomPom Earrings
We began our first day in Paris by visiting the Eiffel Tower–of course. I swear–tears formed in my eyes the second I caught sight of the Eiffel Tower for the first time!! The weather was particularly gloomy, yet it in no way put a damper on our fabulous day. We had the chance to climb the Eiffel Tower and from the top had a breathtaking view of the city. On this day, I styled my look around a light pink structured blazer from Zara (similar here and here). I ADORE this blazer and found it very fitting for Paris. The structure of the blazer gives it a sense of sophistication and class that I found perfectly paired with high-waisted black jeans, a cropped black long-sleeved off-the-shoulder top, suede booties, and black pom pom earrings (on SUPER sale now!!) The balance of sophistication and playfulness derived from the statement earrings worked perfectly. I finished off my look with a silver studded shimmery crossbody from Zara–an accessory that brought in an essential element of edge to my look (similar bag here).
The rest of our first day consisted of whimsically wandering the streets of Paris with fresh baguettes in hand, visiting the Arc de Triumph, chic boutiques, and perfumeries. Quite possibly my favorite part of the day was spending a glamorous tea time at the infamous Laurie. I’ve been in love with macaroons ever since my friend brought me back some years ago from her trip to Paris. I’d also never taken part in tea time prior to this trip, so getting to experience my very first one in Paris of all places was like a dream for me! That night was spent strolling through the charming village of Montmartre where we indulged in traditional escargot (I actually LOVED it!) and visited the incredible Moulin Rouge!!
