  • A Sister Night In the City

Living within close proximity to Boston definitely has its perks. In addition to being the birthplace of many world-renown sports teams and historic sites, Boston is home to some of the chicest restaurants and cafes (more my interests!) For the majority of the year, I live in Connecticut, as I am a freshman at Fairfield University. Because I have few opportunities to venture around Boston due to being home such an unfrequent amount, I’ve learned to appreciate my time spent in this amazing city so much more. Each time I come home from college, I make sure to take at least one trip into the city.

When I was home for spring break, my sister Tess and I decided to take a cute sister trip into Boston, one of which consisted of strolls though the Commons, a yummy dinner and a sweet trip to my new favorite café-lounge. Because we arrived in Boson much later than anticipated, the lighting was not too great for outfit shots, so we did our best to capture our looks:) Following a short fashion shoot, Tess and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Cafeteria. Cafeteria is located on Newbury Street. I tend to come here for meals when shopping along Newbury because I am a huge fan of the restaurant’s relaxed environment, multiple food options, and reasonably priced menu (perfect for college students ;)). Following our dinner date, Tess and I stopped by Sonsie (lounge) for some late night lattes and macaroons (my fav kind of lattes!). Immediately upon walking into Sonsie, I felt transfixed by its overwhelmingly chill, cozy atmosphere. Sonsie definitely gave off major Soho House vibes, making my dreams of going to an actual Soho House come true–to some extent:) Tess and I comfortably enjoyed our caramel lattes and pastries while sitting at a chic marble table next to the magical view of Newbury Street. Our time spent at Sonsie was so enjoyably chill that we definitely could’ve stayed there all night.

For this outing, I decided to pair my ripped tan Free People jeans (similar here) with a comfortable black turtleneck sweater (similar here) from Anthropologie. To spice my look up, I threw on a trendy faux-fur lined collar army green jacket (similar jackets here and here). I love this jacket because it is a unique spin-off of your standard beloved army green jacket. The fur lined collar was a perfect addition to a rather standard outfit–not to mention it added a much needed element of warmth on this rather chilly city night (summer hurry up please!)

Feel free to subscribe to my blog to keep up to date will all new posts:)
