  • Transitional Fall Evening Look

Fall is officially upon us at last! I absolutely LOVE this time of year for several reasons such as: pumpkin everything, Halloween overload, and of course–amazing fashion!! Because it is just the beginning of the fall season, it is still really warm out. For me, being in Italy, it still for the most part feels like summer; however, it gets a little on the chillier side at night. I find that this transitional, from summer to fall, weather can be a little awkward to dress for sometimes, so I thought I’d put together a fun evening style look I’ve been loving lately.

For this transitional weather, layering clothing pieces will be your go-to strategy. Layering prepares you for fluctuations in weather which is highly likely during this time of year. For the base of my look, I wore my deep V-neck white detailed romper from LF in Boston. I love this romper because I find it really unique and beautiful looking. The intricate detailing and deep V-neck make it perfect for a classy evening. As a layering piece, and to make the look more casual, I threw on my oversized, light-wash denim jacket from Brandy Melville. Not only are denim jackets a total fall ~must have,~ I really love the look of this vintage style jacket. Recently, I’ve been obsessed with incorporating vintage-looking pieces into my looks. I really love vintage fashion and I think that tying in elements of this style can bring a cool, edgy vibe to your look! Although booties are a fall staple shoe, I decided to opt for a little spin-off from them and wear my suede TOMS mules. Mules are super cute and trendy atm! They give off the appearance of booties but their open-toe element will let your toes breath during this warmer time of the season and their heeled backing will give you that essential height for a fun night out:) Also, the suede material makes them all the more suitable for this season! To accessorize, I wore my go-to jewelry consisting of my gold dangle choker, and my two silver bands: one is a Mantra Band and the other is a super cute customized one that my friend got me! As always, I toted around my staple Banana Republic cross body because hey, a girl’s gotta have a cute bag with her at all times! πŸ˜‰

I love this look for this transitional time of year and think that it is perfect for the evening when it starts to get a little on the chillier side. Whether you’re venturing the streets of Italy in search of the best gelato post-dinner, or going out for apple cider with your friends back in the states, a look of this kind will be perfect!
