  • Parisian Style Pt. 2: Sweater Dress and Constructed Cross Body

Look #2: Sweater Dress + Constructed Cross Body

Our second day in Paris had quite the royal start to it as we began our day with a visit to the ever so stunning Palace of Versailles. We journeyed over bright and early after grabbing some fresh croissants from a local cafe. Let me just say–there is NOTHING quite like an actual French croissant. Nothing. Simply DEVINE let me just tell you. Anyways, for our visit to Versailles, I decided to pair an oversized V-neck sweater dress from Zara (similar here) with suede block heeled booties (similar here), a matching beret and a constructed green cross body. Overall, I felt my look to be very fitting for the elegant, yet chic atmosphere! Oversized sweater dresses are very in atm and I loved styling mine with more constructed pieces such as my booties and bag to level out sophisticated and casual wear. While at Versailles, we also visited the famous Angelina’s for its renown decadent hot chocolate!

After a long morning spent at Versailles, we were STARVED. To satisfy our hunger, we stopped at a local restaurant for some salty–yes you heard me correctly, crepes (aka THE BEST THING I’VE EVER EATEN). Sure, I’ve eaten savory crepes many a times and love them, but I had never tried a salty crepe. Well I ended up absolutely ~loving~ them!!! They are definitely a must try for anyone planning a Paris trip! The rest of our day consisted of visiting the ever so creepy Catacombs of Paris (soon cool though!) Before ending the day with a Siene River boat dinner with a view of the Eiffel Tower for my friend Darrel’s 21st birthday (casual bday right?!) We also embarked on a Siene River night cruise with some friends and saw the Eiffel Tower infamously sparkle for five minutes which was hands down one of the very best moments of my entire life.

Stay tuned for pt. 3!! Until next time…..
