  • Early Fall & Suede Skirts

after a long, hot, quarantine summer, fall is officially upon us! one of the absolute BEST parts about living in new england for me is the changing of the seasons. although i’m obsessed with summer, each year i feel as though i’m extremely ready for when the fall season sneaks up.

the beginning of fall is such an exciting time of year–the emergence of new fashion styles, the resurface of beloved pumpkin coffee (and pumpkin everything), and the excitement of cozy days spent at breweries with friends. the beginning of fall is undoubtably one of my absolute favorite times of the year for all of these reasons and more.

living in new england, the beginning of the fall season tends to project a rather unpredictable pattern of weather. as a result, planning a suitable outfit can often seem impossible. with the weather leaning more toward the warmer side so far, one of my favorite looks to style has been that with a chic suede skirt.

this is one of my absolute favorite looks for the beginning of fall. for this particular outfit, i styled this super cute suede skirt from free people (similar styles here and here) with a essential, everyday top from aritzia. for a more casual day look, i opted for white platform superegas and a black crossbody i snagged in florence, italy last year.

for a more dressed-up or evening look, this outfit would pair well with black, chunky platform booties and a classic black leather jacket.

ALSO with the beginning of fall ~finally~ here, i wanted to share on here my *perfect* (IMO hehe) fall 2020 social distance-friendly list!

    1. go apple picking
    2. eat an apple cider donut + drink apple cider
    3. make fall cocktails
    4. go to a pumpkin patch
    5. drink + make pumpkin coffee
    6. do a fall hike
    7. carve a pumpkin
    8. roast yummy pumpkin seeds
    9. dress up for halloween (DUH)
    10. day trip to salem, ma
    11. watch multiple scary/ halloween movies
    12. hayride + corn maze
    13. bake a pumpkin treat
    14. go to a brewery

    17. have a fire + s’mores + wine night
    18. go to a farmers/ flea market

before i wrap this up, i MUST address my year+ long hiatus from this platform. life has been crazy with finishing up college amidst the coronavirus pandemic. however, i am back and really looking forward to staying.

    until next time…
