just like every other wine-obsessed girl on instagram, i went to a winery this fall. original content–i know. in all seriousness, wineries (and breweries for that matter) are the absolute perfect fall weekend event during these covid days. i mean, what’s better than spending the day drinking flights of delicious wine with your besties?! makes me nostalgic for saturdays in college spent day-drinking on fairfield beach. hey, at least this time it’s wine & a classy ambiance rather than white claws followed by a concerning amount of pizza–i guess that’s adulting, right?!
a couple weeks back my friends and i headed to cape cod winery for the afternoon, and we had a TIME to say the least. the aesthetic was absolutely stellar, and the wine was incredible–the rosé mermaid water was my FAV . the staff was also beyond nice. on this particular day, to say it was a bit windy would be a total understatement. one gust of wind was so powerful that it blew away all of our wine flights, and it all ended up attacking my friend, laura, like an angry wave of wine. the winery staff literally came sprinting over to us with napkins and replacement wine which was super cute.
for this super chic, wine-filled day, i styled a trendy black corduroy dress from free people (similar here and here) with my favorite lack of color zulu rancher. in addition, i completed the look with simple, black platform booties from nasty gal and my go-to crossbody bag. i opted for an all-black base look to bring attention to my hat–my favorite accessory of this fall season!
this day was honestly such a blast–i am already looking forward to going here more this spring and summer!!
until next time…
